My answer was immediate and passionate. I replied:
"Just write! Write SOMETHING every day... a poem, prose, Haiku... just write. If you're a baker, but you're not baking, then you're not a baker, right?
Also... leave your expectations on the shelf. Don't be a servant to how you EXPECT a thing (story, scene, plot) to go! Trust your muse, and trust your soul! They will seldom steer you wrong--- if you'll only listen and be open to what you hear! PLUS: "Expectations are, PLANNED, resentments"!
You were called to write, right? So let that which called you, hold the lantern along your path! You're not alone. Just listen, and "hear".
Let nobody else define your approach, style or being. :-)"
